  • Dial *#06# on your phone’s keypad.
  • Check the phone’s box or original purchase receipt.

  2. The system will scan databases to locate your device.
  3. If successful, it will provide a real-time or last-known location.

3. Perform a Verizon IMEI Check

If your phone was connected to Verizon before being stolen, a Verizon IMEI check can help determine whether it has been blacklisted or activated on another account.

Steps to Perform a Verizon IMEI Check:

  1. Visit Verizon’s official IMEI checker page.
  2. Enter the IMEI number of your lost phone.
  3. The system will display the status of your device.

By performing this check, you can ensure that your phone remains unusable to thieves and increase the chances of recovery.

Most major carriers provide services to track or disable a stolen Android phone. Contact your service provider and provide them with the IMEI number. They may be able to:

  • Lock your phone from being used on any network.

  1. I often get distracted and drive all the way to my office before I realize I don’t have my phone with me. I don’t need a tracker or finder. I know where my phone is. It is still on the charger. I want to be reminded before I leave my phone behind. There is a new generation of phone reminder devices (PRDs) coming out that supposedly have no false alerts and are adjustable; they don’t use an app and they don’t track because they don’t use location services. Does anyone have any experience with these reminder devices? What is their range? How adjustable are they?
